Hands-on Architectural Conservation

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Planning:

Prepared conservation strategies, guidelines and designs (incl. working drawings and specs) for heritage buildings

Provided technical advice to planning teams in a capacity heritage building conservation and restoration

Planned and organized conservation projects for teams of architects/extant recorders (teams of three to eight people depending on the conservation project)

Supervision:

Supervised the performance and monitored the progress and quality of work of conservation architectural design and extant recording teams

Monitored progress and quality of conservation work performed by consultants and contractors on historic sites; prepared reports on the work progress

Coordination:

Coordinated/consulted conservation design work with other professionals (researchers, archaeologists, engineers, historians, photographers, etc.)

Reviewing:

Reviewed and corrected/updated conservation designs and extant recording documents as well as the other conservation related documents

Reviewed architectural, urban and landscape conservation/development designs

WORK HISTORY

2010 & on - Composing, recording and performing music. Filling free time with photography, restoration of old instruments/furniture and taking care of health and business. Active in Polish community as a graphic designer and mother tongue care taker. Also enjoying prairie summers and, much less, winters.
